Under the recent challenging business environment, companies need strong team leaders who are able to motivate, guide, and inspire their team members remotely in a multicultural context. How to bring out the best in us and others to help the company respond to the new realities it faces?


This online training series on "Leadership and Management" will teach you how to develop the team leadership skills and approach you need to lead your team members working remotely in a multicultural environment. In particular, the three-training series will provide you with practical insights, guidance and tips to increase your effectiveness and ability to perform as a strong team leader under these uncertain times.


Who should attend: This training series is targeted for mid-career professionals, especially managers and senior managers looking to raise their ability to motivate and guide their team members to overcome new challenges and support key company objectives.




Online Training Series #3: Leading a Multicultural Team


Date: July 9th (Thursday)

Time: 14:00-15:30 p.m.



The key objectives of this program are to help participants develop cross-cultural leadership knowledge and skills so that they can enhance their effectiveness and efficiency in leading and managing a multicultural team. After the program, participants will improve their knowledge in the following area:


  • Understanding Obstacles in Multicultural Team
  • Principle of a Effectively Team
  • Understanding Intricacies of Cross-cultural Competence
  • Learning a Model to Lead a Multicultural Team


Who should attend:Those who have responsibility leading a multicultural team. Prerequisite: need to take cross-cultural Communication course before attending this course.

    Donny HUANG is founding managing partner of 4stones Cross-Cultural Consulting Group, a leading cross-cultural management and global leadership development firm in China.
    Donny truly understands the cultural differences that shape global business and leadership behaviors. As a consultant and executive coach, he has served large Chinese national corporations Lenovo, Huawei Technology, ZTE Corporation as well as multinationals, Singapore Airline, Nike, the World Bank, UBS, Microsoft, Dell, Areva, etc.
    Donny started his career with Standard Chartered Bank. Following his MBA, Donny moved on to serve as International Operations Supervisor and Representative for Allied Domecq Retailing International, the parent company of Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts. He was VP at Datahouse, an established Honolulu-based management and technology consulting company and thereafter Managing Director of Pilot Marketing Management Consulting Co. Prior to founding 4stones, Donny was Vice President, Sales & Marketing for a Canadian public-traded company.
    Donny has taught Intercultural Communications/management in several US and China Universities such as Peking University, University of International Business and Economics- Beijing (UIBE). He is constantly invited to speak in international conferences, such as Conference Board’s Leadership Forum, Horasis European-China Business Conference, etc. Donny is certified to use Hogan Assessment and Thunderbird Global Mindset Inventory.
    Donny Huang is frequently quoted in and publishes over 30 articles in the Chinese business press, as well as contributing to “Managing Cultural Difference” (Six Edition) by Dr. Robert Moran, and a book chapter in 2010 Pfeiffer Leadership Development Annual book and coauthored a book titled Global Mindset Leadership in 2015. He holds an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona, USA, and did graduate work on Cultures and Leadership at the East-West Center in Hawaii.
    Donny was Vice Chair-Asia for Thunderbird Global Council, and committee member of 2005 Committee, an elite Chinese returnees group.
