With a rapidly changing China comes challenges for business leaders to keep up with the latest market opportunities, technologies, business models, and social innovations. How can business leaders stay ahead of the developments and understand the key issues driving these changes? China's first independent business school, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), launches a unique 4-day, English-language, executive education program – CUTTING-EDGE INSIGHTS FROM CHINA – to help business leaders worldwide meet these challenges.
Xiang Bing, Founding Dean and Professor of China Business and Globalization says, "We live in a time when major forces are colliding and fundamentally changing the path of development for humanity. One of them is the re-emergence of China. Anyone wishing to become a leader of a global-minded company requires a thorough understanding of China's transformation and its impact on the world."
The program, taking place in Beijing on Oct.27-31, 2019, presents the latest insights and research about China and its global impact. It's taught by internationally acclaimed professors from CKGSB and Peking University, including Dr. Xiang Bing, Dr. TU Weiming, Founding Director of the Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies at Peking University, and Dr. FU Chengyu, CKGSB Professor of Management Practice of Governance and Innovations at Large Corporations and Former Chairman and CEO of CNOOC and Former Chairman of SINOPEC. Moreover, industry speakers from established companies, unicorns and start-ups are invited to join in-class discussions. Company visits and networking opportunities are also woven into the four-day program so participants can have a real world understanding, and expand their network with thought leaders and top business decision-makers in China.

"One of CKGSB's great strengths is that, being independent, it is able to project an objective view of what is happening in China. This makes for well-rounded Executive Education and a well-rounded experience."
— Sir Tom Hunter, Founder, West Coast Capital
"It is a daunting challenge for a business school to bring so many truly A-list business leaders together, but CKGSB has managed to hit another home run."
— Jack Ma, Founder and Executive Chairman, Alibaba
"We could go and talk to the leading European business schools, we could go and talk to the leading US business schools; but if you want to get a view on globalization through a China lens then it is much more valuable for our senior management to come to Beijing to listen to the views of experts at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business because that gives us the perspective we need to make the very important decisions around our business."
— Malcolm Sweeting, Senior Partner, Clifford Chance
"When I was at Harvard Business School, 90%of my classmates worked at large companies, so their goal was to get promoted or get a better salary. As compared to HBS, where I was doing mostly case studies, CKGSB is unique in that it's mostly for entrepreneurs to learn practical and real skill sets that they can apply to their business immediately. It's experiential."
— Joel Neoh Eu-Jin, Founder, Fave Asia
"CKGSB's data collection and research methodology are well-recognized. Also the pool of students gives a very good representation of the business community here. I would recommend this course to people who are new to China, people who don't have a clear picture of what's going on in China, people who are focused on daily operations of business. Those people from executive level will really benefit from this course."
— Duanzhi She, Vice President, Government & Public Affairs, Nike Greater China
Established in Beijing in 2002 with support from the Li Ka Shing Foundation, the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) is China's first faculty-governed and independent business school. CKGSB has more than 40 full-time professors, many of whom previously held tenured faculty positions at the world's leading business schools, such as Wharton and Yale. CKGSB is distinguished by its unmatched alumni network. More than half of CKGSB's 13,000 alumni hold positions at the CEO or Chairman level, and collectively, they lead 1/5 of China's most valuable brands. CKGSB has provided courses, both in China and abroad, to over 3,000 international participants.
