BACKGROUND

Before the first debate between US President Joe Biden and former US President Donald Trump on June 27, the 2024 US presidential election was shaping up to be a contest between two of the oldest candidates ever to contest the ballot. Since then, the Democratic and Republican campaigns have been shaken by recent developments.

With Kamala Harris and Donald Trump now officially endorsed as their party's respective presidential nominees, can this election season heat up even more?
