Mark your calendar for AmCham China Tax and Young Professional Committees' 2022 US Tax Year-End Tax Seminar on November 7!


For this event, AmCham China is pleased to invite tax experts from PwC to respond to some of the most frequently asked questions from US taxpayers living and working outside of US, including tax issues young professionals living in China are concerned about, such as personal tax situation (obligations and opportunities, etc.), proof of tax residency, foreign earned income exclusions, FBAR, social security obligations, state vs federal tax, deduct ability of rent/other expenses, double taxation, etc.


We strongly recommend all members participate online or offline. Offline is encouraged, so that we can have face-to-face communication, and discuss freely with experts during the Q&A session.

    Lin Fang

    Corporate Tax Partner at PwC

    Lin is a corporate tax partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers China firm. Lin began her career with Tax Services of PricewaterhouseCoopers Beijing in 1998. She worked in PwC Hong Kong on a tour of duty during 2002/2003.

    During her professional years, Lin has developed extensive experiences through providing services to multinational companies and domestic Chinese entities which cover a wide variety of industries: modern services, trading, manufacturing, telecommunications, etc. She advises on corporate structures from tax and business perspectives, including corporation formation, foreign exchange, import and export operations, business regulatory framework, etc.

    Most of Lin’s clients are multinational corporations (“MNC”). She is familiar with MNC’s culture and has a global view. Therefore, her advice normally works good for both the overseas headquarters and the Chinese subsidiaries. With Chinese government strengthening the foreign exchange control in recent years, Lin has been handling a lot of cross-border payment cases for her MNC clients in multiple cities in China. She has the most updated experiences in the withholding tax assessment and clearance process, and the collaboration with the banks and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange to ensure smooth outbound payments.

    Lin holds a Bachelor of Arts (Finance) degree from Fudan University, Shanghai, China. She is a member of Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountant and a PRC Registered Tax Agent. She is the head of PwC Certified Tax Agent practice in Beijing.

He currently serves as Co-chair of the Young Professionals Committee at Amcham China, and has previously served as a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, and as a mentor at Chinaccelerator and the Schwarzman Scholars Program.
