In order to achieve the "3060" targets and strongly support the low-carbon transformation of thermal power plants, The China Energy Corporation (CEC) approved the key science and technology research and CCUS demonstration project in early 2021. Relying on the construction of 500,000 tons/year CO2 capture system of Taizhou Power Plant, the project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2023. The purpose of Taizhou CCUS Technical Workshop is to take Taizhou project as a demo project to open up CCUS industry chain, to gradually promote carbon capture and utilization, and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
