The Henan provincial government puts healthcare reform in a strategic position of priority development, increases financial support to the healthcare industry, and strengthens the construction of a public health service system. With supportive governmental policies, several healthcare industry clusters have been developed in Henan province. The Henan provincial government provides enterprises with production-supporting measures and industrial park settings. For example, the Biomedical Industrial Park in Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, as the largest life science and biomedical R&D, production, and innovation park in Henan Province, supports the development of innovative drugs. Nowadays, the biomedical sector has a great performance compared to that of other provinces in China.
The member companies of AmCham China have always attached great importance to the development of the healthcare industry in Henan, and strongly supported the reform of medical insurance and the development of medical institutions. We believe that the experience sharing between enterprises and policymakers can provide necessary references for policy adjustments and better meet the actual clinical needs of patients in the future. And AmCham China is pleased to announce that we will lead a delegation visit to Zhengzhou, Henan in May 2023.
