AmCham China's Marketing, Advertising, and PR Committee would like to invite you to join our CMO Breakfast Series Event on September 10, 8am-10:30am.

In the last decade, celebrity-led charity campaigns have begun to play an important role in raising public awareness and creating tremendous media support for a diversity of causes and organizations. The support of celebrity figures contributes unique and exponential value in the world of charitable fundraising.

One of the pioneers in raising public awareness by developing celebrity-driven campaigns in China, WildAid, has been collaborating with many celebrity ambassadors, such as Yao Ming, Jackie Chan, Prince William, and Leonardo DiCaprio. With an unrivaled portfolio of celebrity ambassadors and a global network of media partners, WildAid leverages more than $230 million annually.

Running charity marketing campaigns in China and across Asia for nearly 20 years, WildAid has constantly adjusted its marketing tactics alongside the burgeoning charity marketing field and China's media landscape. Meanwhile, other media corporations have followed the trend, involving more charity marketing elements into their strategy, with a number of sub-industries emerging to facilitate cooperation between charities and media operators.

What lessons can we learn from the flourishing charity marketing field in China? On September 10, Steve Blake, the Chief Representative of WildAid China, will share the story of WildAid's charity marketing, and the ways in which their success can be applied across marketing disciplines and across the globe. Blake joined WildAid in 2013 to lead its online campaigns in China and has led the production and distribution of numerous award-winning national marketing campaigns.
