China's retail market is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 9% from 2017 to 2021. While offline still holds a major share of retail sales, retail e-commerce continues to be the growth story with a 21% CAGR and forecast to increase overall share of retail sales from 15% in 2017 to 23% by 2021. As digitization across the entire value chain is under way in China's retail industry, we are entering the era of New Retail, where brands and internet giants leverage data and analytics to optimize business impact and customer engagement.

All brands and retailers need to consider how digitization will impact their entire value chain, including production, supply chain management, product development, sales and marketing channels, etc. Forming ecosystems and partnerships are becoming increasingly important, but don't neglect to build core capabilities that create competitive advantage.

Co-hosted by AmCham China and our Digital Circle partner PwC under the Technology and Innovation Initiative, this event gathers the experts with different positions in the value chain to share their insights and best practices on this new exciting market development.

The event will be in English only. Admission is free, but requires online RSVP in advance and organizer's approval to attend.
