Event Summary
The global economy is transforming, with US-China trade relations shaping global supply chains and industry restructuring. Cooperation has shifted from "scale expansion" to "structural optimization," driven by reshoring US manufacturing and infrastructure upgrades, which are propelling China's move to advanced manufacturing. This creates new opportunities for Chinese enterprises, particularly in western China. While these companies benefit from policy support and industry clusters, they still face challenges in cross-border trade and international markets, especially in meeting the technical and compliance standards required by the US market.
In response to the United Nations' initiative to promote inclusive and sustainable industrial development, AmCham China Southwest Chapter and United Nations Industrial Development Organization Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO ITPO, Beijing, China) are co-hosting this special workshop. The event focuses on market demands and cooperation opportunities between the US and China, aiming to build a platform for collaboration, facilitate new partnerships, and contribute to the achievement of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
