About the Tianjin Museum of Modern History
Tianjin Museum of Modern History is located at the center of the city's Five Great Avenues. Amongst other things, its review of the urban history of Tianjin tells the story of expatriates in the early modern era, as well as highlighting the city's first steps in modernization a century ago. The renovation of the museum was completed in 2015.
The museum is usually closed to the public. This special session is designed for AmCham China, Tianjin community only. RSVP in advance is needed. Don's miss this opportunity to catch a glimpse of days gone by while learning more about this thriving modern city.
About the book "A Belgian Passage to China (1870-1930)"
Belgian-Chinese historical relations (1870-1930) and the construction of the Peking-Hankou railway and the Tientsin tramway network based on the personal documents and pictures of Franรงois Nuyens and Philippe & Adolphe Spruyt.
