As Executive Engineering Leader for Aviation in China, Patrick Wang is leading the engineering activities in China region, developing and promoting GE Aviation growth in China, which includes services engineering, supply chain engineering support, engine system integration and aviation digital.
Patrick Wang started his engineering career in China Xinhua Airlines. Patrick Wang joined GE Engine Service (Xiamen) as engineering and customer support manager in 2001. He transferred to GE CTC (China Technology Center) in May 2003 as the ARJ21 on-site system integration leader. Patrick was promoted to lead the entire GE Aviation China Engineering team in 2008. Under his leadership the China engineering team successfully built many new capabilities from zero in China. Established aircraft/engine system integration team with ARJ21, C919, AG300 and CR929 programs and Built the engine nacelle, pylon and engine external configuration hardware design and analysis capabilities, that enabled the advantage in aircraft engine system integration in GE Aviation China Engineering; Patrick continue promoted the supply chain development in China, building the capabilities from machining to raw material and special process in China supply chain; Patrick and his team is very active in the front adge of aviation big data analysis and application development. Patrick built the GE China aviation big data analysis capability, define the digital technology and product development strategy; Patrick established GE China aviation services engineering system, including system engineering support, engine overhaul, component repair, advances technology development and engine analytic capabilities. Over many year efforts, now except core design, GE aviation has established engine life cycle support capability in China.
Patrick received GE Aviation Globalization Award in 2012 and Aviation Engineering Excellent Award in 2014 and 2016.
Patrick Wang was born and grew up in Harbin. He got the bachelor degree in ME from Northwest Polytechnic University in 1993, MBA from Nankai University in 2002 and EMBA from CEIBS in 2012. Patrick Wang started to build model airplane in high and likes art and travel.
