Hainanโ€™s Customs Closure and Its Impact on Chinaโ€™s Economy and MNC Strategies

As China moves toward implementing Hainan's island-wide customs closure, the initiative is set to become a significant milestone in the country's further opening and trade facilitation agenda. This event will examine how the Hainan Free Trade Port's evolving customs regime may reshape China's broader economic landscape and influence multinational corporate strategies, from supply chains and investment planning to trade compliance and market access.

AmCham China Tax Committee is pleased to welcome Professor Cui Fan, Professor of International Trade at the School of International Trade and Economics (SITE), University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), and Chief Economist of the China Society for WTO Studies, who will share expert insights on the policy implications and practical considerations for global businesses.

  3. Current status and future development trends of foreign investment in China
