This session is open to all AmCham China members and offers a unique opportunity to explore how your company can benefit from being part of this active and impactful working group. Whether you work in legal, compliance, sales, procurement, or government affairs, this event will give you the tools, insights, and connections to stay ahead in today's complex export regulatory environment. The session will be led by ECWG Co-Chair Wei Wang and ECWG Advisor John Larkin.

  • Real-world guidance on how to navigate risk areas related to: Entity List, Military End-User (MEU) List, SDN List, NS-CMIC List.

    Co-Chair of ECWG / Asia Compliance Officer at Westinghouse Electric Company

    Wei Wang has nearly twenty years of compliance experience in the semiconductor and nuclear industries in both the US and China. Wei is responsible for Trade Compliance, Data Privacy and Ethics programs in Asia, and serves as Supervisor of the Board of Directors of Westinghouse China and the JVs.

    John Larkin

    Advisor of ECWG / Founder at Larkin Trade International, LLC

    John Larkin founded Larkin Trade International (LTI) in 2005 and has since grown the company into one of the leading providers of trade compliance consulting in China and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to founding LTI, John served at the US Embassy in Beijing as the Export Control Attaché and as a Commercial Officer. As the Export Control Attaché, John was the Bureau of Industry and Security representative in China and the US Government expert on dual-use export controls. As a Commercial Officer, John provided counseling to US companies on a range of trade issues in various high-tech industry sectors. Prior to his time at the US Embassy, John was a Special Agent, first with the US Customs Service in Los Angeles, then with the Dallas Field Office of the Bureau of Industry and Security, where he conducted administrative and criminal investigations related to valuation, intellectual property rights, antidumping, and export controls.
