Interpretation of Recent Consumption Tax Policies
China's latest round of fiscal and tax reform was outlined in the "Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Further Deepening Reform Comprehensively to Advance Chinese Modernization," adopted at the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee on July 18, 2024. The Resolution sets out a comprehensive roadmap to build a modern, fair, and efficient tax system that supports high-quality development, social equity, and a unified national market.
To delve deeper into the recent developments and the future direction of these reforms, the AmCham China Tax Committee, in collaboration with the Food & Beverage Committee, will host a closed-door roundtable discussion on August 21. The session will focus on upcoming tax-related policy changes and their potential implications for the food & beverage and other consumption-facing industries. We warmly welcome your participation and insights in this timely dialogue.
