    President at AmCham China

    Alan Beebe is President of the American Chamber of Commerce in China based in Beijing. He has more than twenty-five years of industry and management consulting experience in Asia, including over fifteen years in mainland China.

    As President, Alan oversees all advocacy, programs, partnerships and insights provided by the Chamber to support the business growth of nearly 900 foreign corporations from across industries, including most of the U.S. Fortune 500. Over the past year, he has led major advocacy initiatives related to market access, cybersecurity, Made in China 2025, China’s NGO law and structural imbalances in US–China trade and investment.

    In 2018, he launched AmCham China’s Technology & Innovation Initiative, focused on the business and policy implications of disruptive digital technologies - such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and cloud computing – for US companies in China.

    Prior to joining AmCham China, Alan held various senior executive positions in China with EY, IBM, and management consulting firms AT Kearney and PRTM. He also led a Beijing based start-up for five years, the China Greentech Initiative, which merged in 2014 with the Paulson Institute, founded by Hank Paulson.

    Alan has advised a wide range of corporations and global investors on investing and operating in China, including global private equity firms, high technology companies, energy related companies, and major state-owned and private Chinese enterprises.

    He holds a Master’s degree from Yale University in International Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the US. He is a Board of Advisor of the Yale Club of Beijing and in that capacity promotes academic and cultural exchanges between the US and China. He is a fluent speaker of mandarin Chinese, and reads and writes Chinese.

    Alan was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska.

    Lin has over 20 years’ experience with Fortune 500 companies both in China and the US across the areas of government affairs, IT, supply chain and marketing. She held the position of senior director of Global Government Affairs at Motorola Solutions China, and was responsible for managing relationship with various government bodies and trade associations for business advocacy. She was also responsible for corporate governance across Asia Pacific.

    As an active member of the community, Lin has been serving on the board of American Chamber of Commerce since 2013 and is the first Chinese woman holding the vice chair role. Lin gives back to the society by advising a number of domestic and international NGOs including US China Strong Foundation. She is also a mentor for Tshinghua Schwartzman program.

    Lin held a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from Nottingham Trent University and an MBA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

    As a certified Marshall Goldsmith leadership coach and Erickson professional coach as well as 6 Second EQ coach, Lin helps executives to further improve their leadership and communication skills. Lin is also a sought-after MC, trainer, column writer and speaker in cross cultural business communication, influencing, women leadership, government relations and strategic philanthropy.
