“Writing for Results” is about written communication for multinational company staff with the aim of improving their e-mail communication and report writing ability, enhancing communication effectiveness and advancing career development.

Why you need this training: You will learn the most useful principles and skills of cross-department and cross-cultural written communication, and will be able to think and write clearly, persuasively and professionally to senior managers, overseas colleagues in order to seek help and handle disagreement in a more proper way.

If you are a manager or staff at a foreign company who frequently writes in English, or staff working in management, production, human resources, finance, administration, sales, marketing, purchasing, customer service, technology and IT, this course is for you!

This course will be conducted in English.

The Details

Curse Objectives:

The course, instead of focusing on language training, aims to develop skills of written communication that is closely related to daily work:

- Being more clear and logical – writing clearly and logically without causing confusion or misunderstanding 
- Being more professional – writing politely and being aware of cultural differences when communicating with foreign colleagues 
- Being more persuasive – gaining skills of dealing with tough situations, and being persuasive while avoiding e-mail conflicts

The course includes real cases, and the teaching materials are about quite a few real cases of Chinese staff from world top 500 companies as well as good e-mail samples for participants to learn in future work.
 
Special Registration Information:
You must register in advance. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Attendees need to pay by August 17, 2017. Limited spots are available and attendance is given on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Mike Oswell

    Mike Oswell

    Mike Oswell is an experienced and successful business leader, business developer and manager. He has over 30 years experience as a senior executive in a global consulting firm in the field of environmental engineering, including as Asia Managing Director. Having worked in over 60 countries, his experience covers government clients, the oil industry, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and engineering industries and extends to US, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. While in Singapore he started the Asia campus of the company’s in-house university and in recent years has been active in China in the areas of executive education. He has taught writing skills to executives and managers in Airbus, BP, Caterpillar, Ernst & Young, GE Healthcare, IBM, Microsoft, Siemens and individuals from over 30 further multinational companies.
    Oswell holds a BA and MA from Cambridge University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
