Please join AmCham China's Young Professionals Committee for a fun after work discussion on expats working at Chinese companies. China’s rapid growth, shifting demographics, and aging population have opened new opportunities for economic immigration from developed as well as developing countries. Young professionals working in China are well positioned to take advantages of these and other oppertunities. That said, challenges remain; poor air quality and high cost of living are the two most significant challenges to AmCham China member companies' ability to recruit and retain talent to work in China according to the 2017 Business Climate Survey. Join us for an informal panel discussion on these and other issues including:
  • Career development
  • Business challenges and opportunities
  • Visa issues
  • Historical perspectives

AmCham China's Young Professionals Committee (YPC) provides a platform for young professionals to build their personal and professional networks, develop career skills, and work with other dynamic leaders to achieve success! The Committee hosts informal monthly round-table lunches with prominent business leaders, inter-chamber networking mixers, and panel discussions on career development, leadership, etiquette and other relevant topics. The Committee also supports a mentorship program whereby experienced AmCham China members and young professionals can share experiences and grow professionally.
