35 years ago when re-establishing our entity to represent the American business communities in China, we started as a humble organization holding meetings rotating amongst the offices of member companies. Today, we are the largest foreign Chamber of Commerce in Beijing representing nearly 1,000 member companies and organizations and over 3,500 individuals.

In the 35 years of growth together with our members, we have built a community, and we have worked with stakeholders in our two countries to create a better business environment on a whole and across more than 30 industry sectors. We also pride ourselves as part of many historic moments that moved the U.S.-China relations forward because our leaders stand for the notion that "the business of America is business." And the public-private partnerships our pioneers advanced jointly with both their peers in the Chinese market and the governments of both the United States and China speak to the best innovations of engaging with the vibrant market power China's opening and reform enabled. At equal importance, we are a community upholding the value of charity and commitment of giving back to the society where our success is produced.

We are you, we are us, and we are AmCham China! At the 2016 Annual General Meeting on November 16, we would like to invite all of our members and friends to come together and celebrate our 35 Years of Legacy!

Following the well-established traditions, our program hosted at the newly renovated Peninsula Hotel Beijing will be a seasoned banquet celebration of our people, our success stories and our partnerships! Awards will be given to recognize the Spirit of Service, the Value of Volunteerism, Our Leadership and the Public-Private Partnerships that our community has come a long way to exemplify!

To join us for the celebration, Director of the United States Trade and Development Agency Leocadia I. Zak, and a celebrity guest of surprise are invited to take stage and share their appreciations of what the American Story is through their longstanding engagements with the American business communities overseas.

At the conclusion of our program, we will announce the 2017 AmCham China Board of Governors elected to serve the community through the transitioning U.S.-China relations.

RSVP is required to attend the event. We look forward to receiving your registrations by COB on Monday, November 14, in order to prepare for your cordial participation. Please contact Catherine Liu at cliu@amchamchina.org for questions.
