AmCham China cordially invites you to join us for breakfast and the Live TV viewing and discussion of the third and LAST Clinton-Trump presidential debate!

The third presidential debate will be held with a moderator, Chris Wallace, who has selected the topics. The format calls for six 15-minute time segments, with each one focusing on each of the topics listed below (the topics may subject to possible changes).
  • Debt and entitlements
  • Immigration
  • Economy
  • Supreme Court
  • Foreign hot spots
  • Fitness to be President

After the conclusion of the live time, we have also invited senior business and community leaders on both sides to comment on the issues addressed during the debate and answer questions from the audience.

    Joseph Castillo is the CEO of Nations Abroad LLC. and Co-Founder of 北京中美圣联 ESL job placement company with his Chinese wife, as seen by China Dailey and China Radio International (CRI), the Global Times and CNTV Panview. Mr. Castillo is best known as the TV star 四百 on his many TV appearances and talk shows for several CCTV, Tianjin TV, and BTV channels, including the Spring Festival Global Galla.

    His activities have been featured on BBC World News in 2004 on behalf of Conservative Christian Republicans, and on Fox News. Though living in China he makes an effort to be involved with Republicans Overseas and remains in support of Presidential Nominee Donald Trump since 2015. Christian conservatives are among the first to support Trump long before he won the Republican nomination.

    Michael H. Dardzinski has lived and worked in Beijing for almost 15 years. He is co-founder and COO of Zihua, on online professional career training company in China. Prior to Zihua, Mike practiced corporate law with international law firms in Beijing where he represented both foreign and Chinese companies and individuals in M&A transactions, media and entertainment projects, and private equity and regulatory matters in China across many industry sectors. He advised clients on structuring complicated cross-border investments in regulated industries in China, including aviation, telecommunications, film and media, life sciences, publishing, mining, and real estate. He also represented clients involved in crisis situations that required coordinated cross-border government relations strategies in connection with government investigations, IP theft, employee scandals, accounting fraud allegations, and Chinese regulatory issues and potential public scandals.

    Michael is the former Co-Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in China's Legal Committee and former Chair of the Media and Entertainment Forum. He also is co-founder of Americans Promoting Study Abroad (www.apsaglobal.org) a non-profit that brings under-served young Americans from more than ten U. S. cities to China for intensive Chinese language and culture study. Having served on President Obama’s National Finance Committee in 2008, Mike organized a first of its kind international pop charity concert in Beijing in 2011 to support President Obama’s 100,000 Strong Initiative (which aimed to increase dramatically the number of Americans studying in China). Earlier in his career, Mr. Dardzinski also founded the first annotated online Chinese legal research database, which he eventually sold to Thomson/Westlaw. He also co-founded Project Homeless Connect Rochester (PHCR) in his hometown Rochester, NY. PHCR has become the largest one-day comprehensive homeless service day in Rochester, NY for the homeless or those at-risk of homelessness.

    Tim Stratford is the managing partner in Covington & Burling LLP’s Beijing office and a member of the firm’s International Trade, Corporate, Public Policy and Government Affairs practice groups. Mr. Stratford’s practice is focused on advising international clients doing business in China and assisting Chinese companies seeking to expand their businesses globally. As a former Assistant United States Trade Representative, Mr. Stratford is the most senior former U.S. trade official working as a member of the U.S. business community in China. Except for the five years he spent in Washington, DC in government service (2005 to 2010), Mr. Stratford has lived and worked continuously in the greater China region since 1982, including as Minister-Counselor for Commercial Affairs at the US embassy in Beijing and as general counsel for General Motors China operations. Mr. Stratford has also served as chairman of AmCham China (2000-01).

    Piper Stover has over twenty years of experience navigating the US-China commercial relationship, living and working in China for over ten years. She currently leads the United Technologies China operation, where she serves as senior member of the leadership team, focused on advancing and strengthening UTC’s business performance & growth objectives in China. Ms. Stover fosters relationships with government officials and advises UTC’s senior management and Business Units on policy matters and business development initiatives, including negotiation and issues management related to in-country ventures.

    Ms. Stover was asked to rejoin United Technologies in 2013 after holding various roles related to the building and aviation industries while at China Greentech Initiative (CGTI), The Boeing Company and the US-China Business Council (USCBC) Washington, DC and Beijing offices, where she was previously Vice President of China Operations. Piper received her B.A. in East Asian Studies from Middlebury College in 1993, with a focus on Mandarin, and completed her MBA in international business with high honors at Norwich University in Vermont. She services on the Boards of the American Chamber of Commerce-China, the US-China Energy Cooperation Program (ECP) and the American Mandarin Society.

    James Zimmerman is the 2015 Chairman of AmCham China, and also served as the chairman in 2007 and 2008 and as a vice chairman in 2005 and 2006, and also has served on various AmCham committees for over 15 years. Zimmerman is the managing partner for the Beijing office of the international law firm of Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, and is the author of several publications concerning trade and China related issues, including the well-recognized China Law Deskbook, a publication of the American Bar Association (now in its 4th edition). Mr. Zimmerman is recognized as one of Asia’s leading business lawyers in the AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers Survey and is listed as a Leading Individual in the category of Corporate/M&A for foreign law firms in China of the AsiaPacific Legal 500: The Guide to Asia's Commercial Law Firms. Mr. Zimmerman serves on a number of non-profit boards focused on child health and education issues in China and is active as a fundraiser for charitable organizations. He has lived and worked in Beijing since 1998.
