Event Details

Manufacturing 2025 is designed to transform China from a manufacturing giant into a world manufacturing power. The plan, endorsed by Premier Li Keqiang, is the country's first action plan focusing on promoting manufacturing. Under this framework, we’re always looking for an edge, a way to accelerate improvements, a certain route to more profit and productivity. Lean and Six Sigma promise these results, but there is wide gap between the promise and the return on investment and effort.

AmCham China, along with Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), would like to invite you for an industrial visit to TEDA. Professor Mark Woeppel, a world-wide expert on manufacturing Theory of Constraints (ToC), will explain and share best practices on the ToC, explain how and why it works.

The following-up discussion will discuss how to imply the manufacturing Theory of Constraints to improve productivity under the “Manufacturing 2025” framework, and touch on questions facilitated from the presentation. After the presentation and discusion, we will then pay an industrial visit to selected pilot zone company of TEDA (to be confirmed).

This is a great opportunity for AmCham China members to discuss issues of concerns, and exchange the latest industry updates with TEDA members - state-owned enterprises, etc. Seating is very limited, please register in advance to secure a seat.
