Event Details

Companies are increasingly using big data to make their supply chains more nimble and responsive, hence supply-chain managers will have to add value by making their firms more responsive to changing customer needs and to shorter product cycles. As a result, demand-sensitive networks are replacing outdated supply chains.

Co-hosted by AmCham China and the Institute of Supply Management China (ISMCHINA), we are having an event on Supply Chain & Big Data Utilization on Friday, October 28th, 3-5pm, in Beijing. Lou Zhou, Director of AP Client Services Procurement, IBM, will share new breed of supply chain that relies on data and analytics - not only to allay shortages and supply risks but also to provide knowledge that allows for proactive strategies. Tony Wai, President of the Institute of Supply Management China, will present on the PMI (Purchasing Manager’s Index) and its impact on business.
