Advancing technology in chips, sensors, data analytics, automation, and remote access has greatly increased the affordability and range of application for commercial drones. The industry’s push towards automation and precision agriculture has been a main driver for the adoption of drones in agriculture. Yet, for Asian markets most ripe for adopting this technology, there are still several challenges and barriers to consider when considering the penetration rate of commercial drones in the agriculture industry.

This presentation will highlight the key trends for drones in crop management as well as major drivers affecting potential adoption and growth for agriculture drones.

    Senior Consultant at Ipsos Business Consulting

    Jessica Chung is a Senior Consultant with Ipsos Business Consulting, the specialist consulting division of Ipsos. Jessica is in charge of the commercial drones’ market intelligence analysis across Asia. As a Senior Consultant with Ipsos Business Consulting, Jessica is involved with private and public sector advisory projects, and is also responsible for leading industry consulting projects for several successful IPO listings in Hong Kong.
    Based in Hong Kong, Jessica joined the company in 2014. She previously worked for a private management advisory firm serving clients ranging from stated-owned enterprises, private sector corporations, higher education institutions, and non-profit organizations across Greater China and Southeast Asia.
    Jessica holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Clark University in the United States, and has completed several international MSc and EMBA courses in strategy and business management. Jessica speaks and writes fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

    锺善雯女士是益普索商务咨询的高级顾问，负责商业无人机在亚洲市场的分析项目团队。锺女士参予了多项公私营机构的管理咨询项目，以及多个香港公开招股成功的企业咨询项目。
    锺女士于2014年加入益普索商务咨询香港办公室，在此之前锺女士曾在中国及东南亚区的私人管理咨询集团工作，服务客户包含教育机构、非牟利机构、私营企业等，并负责重组和扭亏为盈等项目。
    锺女士荣获美国克拉克大学经济学和政治学学士学位，亦完成了数个战略和工商管理研究生课程。锺女士会说流利的普通话、粤语及英语。

    As Head of Hong Kong, Markus is responsible for leading and managing research and consulting projects in Hong Kong, across China as well as other countries in Asia Pacific. These studies cover market and competitor analysis, full market entry strategy development, industry benchmarking analysis and best practices development.
    Prior to working in Hong Kong, Markus was based in Shanghai with Ipsos Business Consulting, where he was responsible for client management and leading research projects.
    Markus is multilingual; he speaks and writes fluent English, Chinese Mandarin and German.
