Mark Duval was appointed President of the American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China (AmCham China) on May 17, 2013.
As President, Mr. Duval oversees the management of chamber operations in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Wuhan, and Shenyang, serves as the link between the Board of Governors and staff, leads advocacy with United States and Chinese government officials, acts as media spokesman for the American business community in China, and drives engagement and support for the 3,800 members of AmCham China.
An American citizen, Mark Duval grew up in Zimbabwe and South Africa, he has been based in China since 1996, where for over 16 years he led Motorola China corporate strategy, operations and business development, public policy and government relations, communications and public affairs, crisis management, and goโtoโmarket (sales) operations.
Mark has a BSc. from the University of KwaZuluโNatal where he graduated with Deans List honors; a postgraduate diploma in from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, and an MBA from the University of WisconsinโMilwaukee.
