Jake Parker is a Mandarin speaking House professional staff member on the House Select Committee for Competition with the CCP. In that role, he focuses on US-China economic competition, critical mineral, battery, and magnet supply chain resilience and trade policy. Before his time in Congress, Jake spent a decade in China analyzing Chinese government investment restrictions, cross-border data flow, and industrial policies with a bilateral trade association. In 2019, he relocated to Washington DC to work between industry and the US government on export control implementation, regulation of Chinese mobile applications in the US, and the emerging information communication technology supply chain rules.

Beyond his professional experience, Jake is fluent in Mandarin (reading, writing, spoken, listening) and well versed in Chinese business culture. During his time in China Jake managed projects in every province and coordinated directly with customers and government officials at all levels.
