Welcome to the future of the China Discussion.

Film producer and founder of the US-China Film Summit Peter Shiao introduces his next project, CHINAWEEK! Supported by the State of California and Los Angeles county governments, CHINAWEEK consists of a 10 day series of events in Los Angeles in May 2016. Bolstered by an online platform, CHINAWEEK will offer a multidisciplinary approach to discussion on cross-border issues: arts & culture, business, education, entertainment, environment, science & technology.

AmCham China is partnering with CHINAWEEK as one of the content providers. CHINAWEEK is an opportunity for AmCham members to promote their products and services to both US and Chinese companies. AmCham China members and friends are welcome to join an evening reception to learn more.

The evening will bring together professionals working in critical spaces in both outbound and inbound business. It will be an opportunity to understand the opportunities available during CHINAWEEK to make key business contacts in legal, accounting, financial services, media and entertainment, and other areas.

Founder of the Asia Society’s US-China Film Summit, Peter Shiao is CEO of Orb Media Group, an entertainment company based in Los Angeles and Beijing that produces, finances and markets entertainment franchises with transformational themes, led by films and on-line games that unite the international and Chinese markets.

Mike Margolis has more than 30 years of experience representing clients in a variety of disputes, including: real estate; lender liability; trade secrets, unfair competition, and misappropriation of intellectual property; fraud; international joint ventures; sexual harassment and employment discrimination; and class actions and other complex commercial cases.
Mr. Margolis heads up Blank Rome’s team serving Chinese businesses and entrepreneurs operating in the U.S. For more than 13 years, a large part of Mr. Margolis’ work in the U.S. has focused on advising and representing companies and business owners from the Greater China area.
