Event Details

The synergies between corporate social responsibility (CSR), which can create shared value for all levels of stakeholders, and education which can change the fortunes of disadvantaged groups, are great. As such, many multinationals and Chinese firms are harnessing this strength through CSR programs that not only empower marginalised members of the communities in which they operate, but also encourage economic participation across sectors, improving the quality of life for women, men, families and society as a whole.

AmCham China's Business Sustainability Committee and the European Chamber of Commerce's CSR Forum invite you to hear three experts share their insights and best-practices on CSR-oriented education programs. Speakers will touch on issues including improving education for underprivileged children, empowering disadvantaged women, and increasing financial literacy for lower income groups. CSR practitioners, NGO professionals and government officials interested in engaging marginalized communities are encouraged to attend.
