Tianjin was one of the first cities in modern China to establish economic and trade exchanges with foreign countries. It has built and preserved historical buildings in various styles and is known as the "Exotic Building Clusters". Famous politicians, industrialists, and educators from various countries have all been attracted to stay in Tianjin. Nowadays, these historical buildings with beautiful appearance and harmonious colors form an important urban fabric of Tianjin and have also become the city's precious non-renewable resources.

As cities continue to grow and evolve, it is crucial to strike a balance between modernization and heritage conservation. The Tianjin Municipal Government attaches great importance to the protection and utilization of historical building resources and has identified 14 historical and cultural protection areas. It has also recently announced several historical buildings that will be opened to the public with new looks and new functions, including Kailuan Mining, Tianjin Printing House, Gordon Hall, etc. After this upgrade, how can these "historical buildings" exert their economic and market value to help Tianjin's urban renewal and sustainable development?

Join us on April 11 for a briefing by the official in charge of the upgrade and renovation of the "historical buildings", Yu Zheng, to learn about the past, present, and future of historical buildings in Tianjin; and discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with preserving historical structures in the midst of rapid urban development.

William Gao and Dannie Mu, Co-Chairs of Tianjin's Real Estate Committee will also take this opportunity to introduce the annual review and update of the 2023 Tianjin property market including commercial property, national logistics real estate market, and explore what we can offer to the community through different types of events in 2024.

This event promises to be an engaging and informative gathering where members can network, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights into the complex dynamics of urban development. Don't miss this chance to be part of a vibrant community dedicated to shaping the future of our cities while honoring their rich architectural heritage. Save the date and join us on April 11 for an evening of knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
