Event Details

Following China’s landmark announcement at the APEC summit in 2014 to cap peak emissions by 2030, and President Xi's confirmation during his recent state visit to the US that China will enact a nationwide carbon emissions cap-and-trade system in 2017, manufacturers are in the hot seat to align their operations with stricter environmental regulations. At the same time, improving the management and monitoring of energy, water and raw materials can ultimately save a business money in both the short- and long-term.

The AmCham China Clean Tech Committee invites members for a discussion of the latest clean tech solutions currently being implemented in China. Learn how to reduce costs, engage with customers and improve the operating environment while complying with increasing pressure from regulators.

The event will answer questions such as:
  • What solutions are available to reduce a manufacturer’s environmental footprint?
  • What are the development process and timeline to implement said solutions?
  • What type of financing options are available?
  • How can manufacturers take advantage of government support for clean tech initiatives?
  • How can manufacturers reduce costs through these solutions and initiatives?
