Event Details
Having personnel prepared to give even the most basic first aid treatment in time of an emergency can save a life. Even in a situation where a life is not at risk, a working knowledge of first aid techniques can limit injuries sustained by a victim. This course covers a wide variety of injuries and conditions which will enable even the most inexperienced person to provide victims with immediate preliminary aid. The course will be provided by AHA (American Heart Association) certified instructor.
Key course contents:
- First Aid (Primary Care): Defines “first aid” and the role of the first aider in the delivery of Primary Care.
- Respiratory System: Provides the students with an understanding of the function of the respiratory system.
- Circulatory System: Provides an understanding of the function of the circulatory system. ๏ง
- Priorities: Enables the students to carry out a systematic assessment of the situation.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) including Adult/ Child and Infant: Enables the students to recognize the need for CPR. Studies to perform emergency life support techniques.
- Emergency situation of Child and Baby such as chocking and fever
- Recognition and Management of Bleeding:Enables the students to recognize and manage External bleeding.
- Unconsciousness:Enables the students to recognize and manage the unconscious casualty.
Who is eligible to attend?
Anyone with an interest in learning basic first aid techniques. No previous medical experience or education is required.
Dress code
Due to the high level of practical skills training, students are requested to wear suitable clothing and footwear. Casual trousers or jeans are recommended.
