The first free-trade zone in Northern China, the Tianjin Free Trade Zone (FTZ) launched on April 21, 2015, and includes three areas: Binhai New Area Central Business District, Dongjiang Free-Trade Port Zone and Airport Economic Area. Each is designed for very different, very specific functions.
