AmCham China Northeast Chapter and International SOS cordially invite you to an event on health, safety and security. This is our first event in Dalian Development Zone (DDA).
International SOS will invite a panel of experts to address the current health and safety risks in China. In this important session, our international experts will share essential information to help you understand the health and safety environment in China and how to mitigate your risks. Topics will include:
• Health risks in China in 2015 (pollution, pandemics, health infrastructure)
• How to manage these risks and protect your employees
• Trends in health cases in China, what are the most common causes of evacuation
• Security risks in China in 2015 (labor disputes, petty crime, road safety)
Meet the speakers:
Dr. Gordon Peters, Regional Medical Director, International SOS Asia
Dr. Peters joined International SOS in January 2013. He is double board certified in Aerospace Medicine and Occupational Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1989. Prior to joining International SOS, Dr. Peters served in the United States Air Force. He served in multiple assignments around the world, including Asia, Africa, Europe, South America and around the US.
Katja Schimmelpfennig, Assistant General Manager, Assistance International SOS North Asia
Schimmelpfennig joined International SOS in 2010. She is responsible for the management of our Assistance Centers, in the region and ensuring customer satisfaction of our members. She works closely with service providers from International SOS, so as to achieve a smooth deployment of our service.
James Shi, Client Liaison Director China, International SOS and Control Risks
Shi joined International SOS and Control Risks in November 2014 in Beijing. In this role, he works closely with the global security team providing security related service to our clients in China as well as to our Chinese clients operating globally. Such service ranges from providing information updates, security advice and consultancy, delivery of awareness training and assistance on ground. Prior to International SOS, he worked for seven years in China for Otis Elevator and PPF Finance Group in the area of security management and fraud prevention and before that James served in the Chinese Police Force for nine years.
