The AmCham China, in cooperation with the EU Chamber, British Chamber and Australian Chamber, will this year launch the Financial Services Update series. AmCham China is going to kick off the series with a presentation on the bond market in China, featuring experts from the U.S. Embassy, J.P. Morgan, KPMG and Standard & Poor's. Hear first-hand updates on the US government's advocacy for a level playing field for foreign firms in China's capital markets, as well as insights on bond ratings, "bond connect" and social impact bonds.

Brendan Kelly has served as the U.S. Treasury Department's Deputy Financial Attache in Beijing since October 2014. From 2012 to 2014, Brendan served as an international economist in the Treasury's Office of International Banking and Securities Markets, where he was responsible for China and Southeast Asia financial sector issues, corporate governance, accounting, and other capital markets issues. In this capacity Brendan also represented the U.S. Treasury Department on the OECD's Corporate Governance Committee, serving as Vice Chair of the Committee from 2012 to 2014.

Jennifer Jiang is the Global Head of RMB Solutions at J.P. Morgan. She has more than 18 years of experience in investment banking, sales and trading and portfolio management. She was previously the head of China commodities sales at J.P. Morgan. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Jennifer held various positions in sales and trading with Merrill Lynch and Citigroup in Greater China.
Simon Gleave is the Asia Pacific Regional head of Financial Services and partner of KPMG in charge of Financial Services for China. He has been working in Beijing since 2001 and has been involved in the IPO of China Construction CITIC Bank and most recently China Everbright Bank as well as the restructuring of banks across Europe and Asia. He is currently the global lead partner for Industrial and Commercial Bank of China audit and CITIC Group audit. He has worked in assisting a number of banks and other financial institutions in transforming their finance and business practices during restructuring and reform prior to accessing capital markets.

Elena Okorochenko is Managing Director and General Manager of Standard & Poor's Ratings Services' Financial Services, Structured Finance, Sovereign and International Public Finance (IPF) Ratings teams in Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, she leads analytical teams that evaluate the credit standing of banks, insurers, structured transactions, sovereign, regional and local governments, government-supported issuers, and other entities in Asia-Pacific.
