"Smart cities" are now a priority for the central government, and present major opportunities for AmCham China member companies. AmCham China, Central China Chapter invites you to attend an exclusive project matchmaking event in Yichang, one of four national pilot smart cities in Hubei.
The "smart city" concept, originally invented by IBM, refers to cities of the future that will leverage technology to improve the efficiency of infrastructure and public services. Yichang, the second largest city in Hubei, is a leader in smart city construction. For example, Yichang was the first city in China to build and implement a city-level cloud computing center. Over the next 3 years, Yichang will continue to focus on the development of 11 smart city projects including intelligent information database system, intelligent emergency control center, intelligent transportation system, and application platform of work safety supervision.
This event aims to help member companies get involved in these smart city projects in Yichang. Participating companies will have the opportunity to:
- Meet with relevant local government officials and potential business clients
- Share the latest information about your company's offerings, technologies or expertise
- Discuss business opportunities for cooperation on the construction of smart city projects with government officials and private sector executives
