For the next Media and Entertainment Forum meeting, Forum Chair Mathew Alderson has invited Clifford Coonan, Asia Bureau Chief of The Hollywood Reporter and The Irish Times, as the guest speaker. Coonan has worked as a correspondent for the past 11 years in China, enjoying a front-row seat to the world's second largest movie market, China, and the fastest growing entertainment sector on the planet, Asia.
Coonan has a special interest in the relationship between China and overseas companies in the movie business, how Hollywood movies get played in China and vice-versa. Coonan will explore these themes by looking at regulatory issues and production notes as well as sharing personal anecdotes.
