AmCham China is pleased to announce that we will host Kenneth Jarrett, AmCham Shanghai President, to discuss the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ). The Shanghai FTZ was created by the Chinese government as a pilot for economic reforms focused on trade facilitation, liberalization of professional services and the financial sector.
The Shanghai FTZ uses a "negative list" approach to manage reforms and is touted by the Chinese government as an important reform mechanism. Mr. Jarrett will give an update on what is happening in the FTZ, what foreign companies are experiencing in the zone, and how the foreign business community in Shanghai views the zone.
