CSR Summer Series: Civil Society, Philanthropy, Education, Sexuality and Legal Reform in China
China's unprecedented economic development over the last 30 years has produced both progress and new social tensions. It is imperative that businesses recognize the importance of supporting social innovators who work to create a more stable and prosperous social economic environment.
As the second installment of AmCham China's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) summer series, AmCham China has cordially invited the China Representative and three program officers from the Ford Foundation to discuss how it supports China's social innovators, and the recent developments and current challenges facing civil society, philanthropy, education, sexuality and reproductive health education and legal reform.
In order to learn more about how the Ford Foundation and its grantees work at the cutting edge of these issues, the event will take on an innovative format. Following an overview presentation by the Chief Representative, she and the three program officers will lead break-out conversations with participants on their specific areas of work.
