AmCham China hosts the next session of the Essential Skills Training Program, focusing on Working Effectively in a Multicultural Environment in partnership with RoyalRoad International (4stones). This course will be delivered in English

Program Review:
This program is designed for those who want and need to work effectively in a multicultural business environment, and learn knowledge and skills to communicate effectively with colleagues, partners and clients who are from different cultural backgrounds.

The key objectives of this program are to help participants enhance their cross-cultural awareness, overcome cultural barriers and develop cross-cultural skills so that they can enhance their effectiveness and efficiency while working in an ever-globalized business environment.

After the program, participants would develop basic skills and knowledge in the following areas:
1. Self-cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity
2. Knowledge and mindset for cross-cultural understanding
3. Skills for effective cross-cultural communications and management

Special Features of the Program: Online Cultural Assessment
Before the training, participants will be asked to take Worldpass Assessment – a cultural assessment tool to understand their own cultural profiles and able to compare their own profiles with other cultures such as Germany and Singapore, etc.

Program delivery method will include lectures, mini case study, interactive group discussion, and online cultural assessment.

Trainer:
Donny Huang is founding managing partner of 4stones Cross-Cultural Consulting Group.

Donny is actively helping executives and managers to become more effectively in ever globalized business environment through consulting, coaching, training, teaching and writing. He helps both international executives/managers and Chinese national executives/managers develop global leadership and cross-cultural competence, and contribute effectively to their organizations.

Donny started his career with Standard Chartered Bank in China. Following his MBA, Donny moved on to serve as International Operations Supervisor and Representative for Allied Domecq Retailing International, the parent company of Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts. He was VP at Datahouse, an established Honolulu-based management and technology consulting company and then Managing Director of Pilot Marketing Management Consulting Co. Prior to founding 4stones, Mr. Huang was Vice President, Sales & Marketing for a Canadian public-traded company.

Donny has taught Intercultural Communications in Chaminade University of Honolulu, and was adjunct faculty at the Japan-American Institute of Management Science (JAIMS). He has been teaching an Intercultural Communication class for CIEE in Peking University since 2006.
