Chinese firms are rising in the world economy. The 2013 Fortune Global 500 listed 89 Chinese firms, second only to the United States, and this figure is expected to increase over the next decade. Yet, the sheer size of Chinese firms' wealth is not sufficient to secure the future of Corporate China. Using unique insights and cases, Dr. Liu will explore how Corporate China will transition from "big to brilliant" and what this means for the future of China and the global economy.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Liu, Qiao is a Professor of Finance at the Guanghua-Kellogg Executive MBA program and an Assistant Dean at Peking University, Guanghua School of Management. Before he joined Guanghua, Dr. Liu served as a tenured professor at Hong Kong University and taught at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Hong Kong. A renowned financial expert, Dr. Liu worked at McKinsey & Company's Asia-Pacific Corporate Finance and Strategy Practice and has spent over 15 years conducting cutting-edge research on Asian financial markets.
Dr. Liu earned his Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MA in International Finance from the Graduate School of the People's Bank of China.
