E-sports, short for electronic sports, is a form of competition using electronic devices. This industry is now part of a much broader trend towards consolidation within the video game industry. The e-sports industry will continue to consolidate across multiple categories, including the live-streaming, game industry, advertising, etc. Holding e-sports events, empowering the game industry, enhancing e-sports public education, and launching e-sports corners would be the major trends in China.

However, people often misunderstand e-sports by thinking that it can only cause negative effects such as addiction among teenagers. Studies have shown that e-sports provides many of the same benefits as grass sports. E-sports can improve hand-eye coordination, basic visual processing, executive function, problem-solving & strategy skill, a great way to connect with a friend. It's also a must to control the addiction and obsession of playing them.

AmCham China, in collaboration with the US Embassy in China would like to invite you to participate in this special event to learn more about e-sports and what is the future trend for e-sports' development in China. We'll have the latest e-sports equipment and games for you to experience the fun of e-sports with your friends and family.
