Please join AmCham China and USITO for a discussion with Yuejin Du, Ph.D., Director of the National Engineering Laboratory of Cybersecurity Emergency Response Technology (NELCERT) and Director of the National Institute of Network and Information Security, and Ernest L. McDuffie, Ph.D., Lead for the US Department of Commerce's National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), on cybersecurity issues facing both China and the US. The discussion will include bilateral points of tension and a possible roadmap for resolving these issues.
Dr. Du will begin the event by presenting on the current global deficit of trust on cybersecurity, then elaborating on its root causes, successful cases of international cooperation and options for future cooperation. Dr. McDuffie will then speak on the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education and how it is promoting awareness of cybersecurity, expanding the number of cybersecurity workers, and constructing a globally competitive workforce.

Following the presentation, Dr. Du and Dr. McDuffie will participate in a Q&A session moderated by Professor Hank T. Wang, who is the Co-Chair of the AmCham China Legal Committee.
