This online training series on, Motivating & Leading Others To Take On New Challenges, will help you develop the mindset, approach and key skills that you need to lead others when facing a changing situation. Based on key principles and insights from Larry Wang's PLSD Approach(Practical Learning & Skills Development Approach), the three training sessions in this series will share simple, but effective methods, habits and tools that will significantly improve your ability to get your team members to pursue and deliver solutions to new challenges.

Series #1: How To Motivate & Bring Out The Best In Others In Changing Times


Date: February 24th, 14:00-16:00


In a changing situation, your people management skills and ability to motivate your team members to go beyond their comfort zone become essential for your success as a leader. When it comes to motivating others, the best way to do this is to support their ability to achieve the success they seek, whatever that may be to them.

 

This session will teach you how to get others to look beyond their current situation and take a sound approach to achieving their long-term objectives and success. By learning to communicate truths and realities about achieving both their current and future success, you'll be able to help your team members respond to new challenges, while improving their ability to attain what's important to them. In particular, participants will learn how to help others to:

 

  • Develop the right mindset & approach to facing change and responding to new situations
  • Raise their Career Success IQ (CSIQ) and ability to achieve what they care about most
  • Make a clear connection between taking on new challenges & achieving the success they seek


Series #2: How To Raise The Learning Agility Of Your Team Members


Date: March 3rd, 14:00-16:00


They say that learning agility is the single best predictor of a person's ability to succeed in a changing and uncertain business environment. This means that to be a successful leader, you need to be able to teach your team members how to be more proactive, resourceful and open-minded. You need to be able to show them how to figure things out without actually knowing what to do.

 

This session will increase your ability to teach others how to drive their own learning and development when facing new situations and challenges. In particular, participants will learn how to show your team members how to:

 

  • Turn their challenges into opportunities to build new skills & expertise
  • Recognize and leverage what's available to them to learn & develop faster
  • Apply a highly effective 3 Step Approach To Getting Information & Learning From Others Quickly



Series #3: How To Coach & Support Others When Pursuing New Solutions


Date: March 10th, 14:00-16:00


To coach your team members and help them deliver a new result or new solution, you don't have to have or provide them with all the answers. You don't have to have previous experience or expertise related to the problems that they're trying to solve. Instead, you just need to guide their process and support their ability to access and leverage resources, find answers and figure out how to achieve what they're trying to do.


This session will teach you how to provide practical guidance to help others get what they need when pursuing new objectives and solutions. In particular, participants will learn how to:


  • Apply a simple, practical IGE Approach to coaching and supporting your team members
  • Identify and recommend reasonable steps and actions when pursuing new solutions
  • Provide guidance and feedback to help others achieve things they haven't done before
