China is the world's largest agricultural economy and a major force on world food markets yet many fundamental aspects of China's agricultural economy are still shrouded in mystery.
AmCham China's Agriculture Forum is pleased to present an informative event featured Dr. Bryan Lohmar, country director of US Grains Council (USGC) China, to provide a brief overview of the enormous success brought about by the rural reforms initiated over 30 years ago in generating a dynamic market economy in rural China. Lohmar will also look at current challenges to further productivity growth and will address topics such as China's meat consumption, the effects of modernizing feed rations, the role of land and water policies, and other topics.
