Interpreting the Summit: Dr. Zongze Ruan on President Obama and President Xi’s Recent Meeting in California
In early June, President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a series of informal meetings in California, where "important and strategic issues of common concerns" were discussed.

Dr. Ruan is one of China's best-known and influential foreign policy advisers. He is the vice president and senior fellow at the China Institute of International Studies and a former minister counselor for policy at the Embassy of the PRC in the United States from 2007 to 2011. During his speech, Dr. Ruan will discuss the summit and share his observations on the development of US-China bilateral relations.
