AmCham China's Business Sustainability Committee invites you to join a panel discussion on multinational companies and their CSR and sustainability practices in China. Hear from Steve McCoy Thompson, Dr. Huaying Zhang, Ray Bracy, and Karen Guo as they discuss their best practices and experiences. Learn about existing sustainability programs, lessons learned from stakeholder engagement, the application of CSR by Chinese companies, and how to grow business sustainably in China.

Ray Bracy is Walmart's senior vice president of corporate affairs in China. He leads external communications, public affairs, government relations, and corporate social responsibility programs for Walmart China's retail operations. Ray lived in Beijing from 1998 to 2000 while serving as president of Boeing China. He was also a pilot in the United State Navy and graduated with a bachelor's degree from the US Naval Academy. Additionally, Ray holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Karen Guo, Sustainability Leader of Dow Asia Pacific, is responsible for advancing the incorporation of sustainability into business and functional strategies, and to advance the contributions of Asia Pacific to the accomplishment of Dow's breakthrough 2015 Sustainability Goals. Karen has more than 15 years experience in both business and non-profit organizations. Karen has been invited as advisor and expert for research and study by Chinese governments and international organizations, esp. in the area of China's green economy and Ecological & Carbon Footprint study. Karen Guo holds an MSC. in Economics.
Steve McCoy-Thompson is Director of Global Operations and runs the Beijing office of BSR. BSR develops sustainable business strategies and solutions in virtually every business sector. Selected programs in China include health education and services for 20,000+ factory workers, corporate philanthropy support, direct farmer training of sustainable practices, and corporate retainer support for ongoing CSR programs. Prior to joining BSR, Steve worked at Deloitte Consulting and Bechtel Corporation, and was fortunate to live in China in 1982.

Dr. Huaying Zhang is the Vice President of Sustainability for Coca-Cola, Greater China & Korea Business Unit.
Dr. Zhang has held various positions in diverse fields in The Coca-Cola Company since 1994. From Scientific & Regulatory Affairs to Technical/R&D and from Beverage Institute for Health & Wellness to Risk Management, her job always allowed her to help the company make a meaningful contribution to the society. Dr. Zhang holds a Bachelor of Medicine degree from Peking University, a Master's degree in Public Health from Rutgers University in United States, an MBA from University of Western Ontario in Canada, and a PhD in Chinese Medicine from China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.
