HR Forum Series: Labor Dispatch and Employment Law Developments: Corporate Perspective (Members Only)
AmCham China's HR Forum is pleased to invite you to attend Part II of a members-only event and cocktail on recent amendments made to China's Labor Contract Law and how it will impact your China operations. The session brings a panel of corporate HR and public policy directors together to provide practical examples of how the law will affect employment structures and future business growth.
As of July 1, 2013, companies will no longer be allowed to hire staff through staffing agencies (such as FESCO, CIIC, China Start, etc.) except in very narrow circumstances. Up to 60 million agency workers are currently used in China in all industries, either for headcount reasons, to reduce labor costs or to avoid rigid labor and employment rules. Thus, the new rules may have significant impact on employers and employees alike, if they are strongly enforced.
Join us on April 11 to participate in the discussion and learn how this may impact your China operations.
Topics to be covered: • Will companies need to change their employment structures? • What will be the new rate of labor dispatch given to employers? • How long of a grace period will companies have before mandatory compliance? • Consequences of non-compliance • Advantages of labor dispatch arrangements • Procedures and costs related to any transfer of employees to direct employment
