The prolonged trade war between China and the US has sharply reduced Chinese exports to the US. The global pandemic has also caused e-commerce and online business activity to surge. With the impact of the trade war and the pandemic, how will US-China trade fare, and what challenges might it raise to the development of digital trade? Additionally, Chinese President Xi Jinping pledged to reach carbon neutrality during last year’s UN summit, raising fresh challenges for the Chinese economy. Prof. Tang will analyze and evaluate the potential opportunities and outcomes of the topic in terms of policy, institutions, technology, and industry.
