Earlier last year, US Congress introduced the CHIPS for America Act aiming to help establish investments and incentives to support US semiconductor manufacturing, R&D, and supply chain security. Additionally, in February of this year President Biden signed into effect an Executive Order to re-examine and rebuild a more sustainable and resilient supply chain for critical and essential goods. The order is in effect and currently under a 100-day review period to examine US supply chain vulnerabilities of four essential goods including semiconductors.

The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) have welcomed the government's efforts to support and invest into the industry. As such,

together with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), SIA collaborated in publishing an in-depth analysis that addresses issues to be considered by the industry and government and avenues for growth within the US.

To help AmCham China members companies better navigate potential obstacles and gain better understanding of these new policies, AmCham China along with USITO cordially invites you all to join a debrief of the SIA & BCG "Strengthening the Global Semiconductor Supply Chain in an Uncertain Era" report. This online event will feature Jimmy Goodrich, one of the authors of the report and the Vice President of Global Policy at SIA and Co-Chair of Executive Committee at USITO.

Please join us on Zoom at 8:30 AM-9:30 AM (Beijing Time) on Friday, April 30 to listen to our esteem speaker's insights on the ever-changing challenges of the semiconductor industry.
