While China appears to continue to seek to live up to its US-China Phase One Deal commitments, the EU-China Investment Agreement hailed last year could be now possibly be halted over ideological controversies. Will China remain committed to further market openings? How will China's industrial and foreign investment policies take shape under the 14th Five-year Plan? In light of recent frictions with trading partners, how will the Chinese government approach multilateral trade treaties going forward?
AmCham China is pleased to host an in-person Policy+ exclusive conversation with Vice President Zhang Wei of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC) on Friday, April 9, from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the CAITEC office. AmCham China President Alan Beebe will introduce highlights from the 2021 China Business Climate Survey Report, exchange views with Vice President Zhang on a variety of topics related to trade and investment, and moderate conversations between Vice President Zhang and the Policy+ group.
Due to limited seating, please RSVP as soon as possible. Each Policy+ subscribing company should send only one representative and seniority will be taken into account. We will open up more seats to additional representatives if space allows. The deadline to register is noon, Thursday, April 1. For any questions, please email Chloe Ma at cma@amchamchina.org.
