In the post epidemic era, while the new infrastructure construction is becoming an important and new driving force for revitalizing the economy, it is also particularly essential to maintain sustainable development. Therefore, under the green basic development framework of "The 14th Five Year Plan", how to strengthen the green connotation of new infrastructure construction and grasp the new opportunities of green environmental protection have attracted much concerns.

    Vice Dean and Tenured Associate Professor of Urban Planning & Design at Tsinghua University

    LIU Jian received her Bachelor degree in Architecture and Master and Doctor degrees in Urban Planning & Design from Tsinghua University. She is Registered City Planner in China, Vice Dean and Tenured Associate Professor of Urban Planning & Design at Tsinghua University School of Architecture, and Managing Chief-Editor of China City Planning Review. She was Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Graduate School of Design Harvard University in 2016, visiting scholar at l’Oservatoir d’Architecture de la Chine Contemporaine in 2000 and 2003, and visiting scholar at UBC Center for Human Settlements in 1995. She works as professor, researcher and city planner and designer, with particular interests on town and rural planning, urban design, urban regeneration, and international comparative studies. She publishes both domestically and overseas and is active in both national and international academic circles. She either chairs or participates both research and practical projects of urban planning and design which cover a number of Chinese cities such as Beijing, Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Nantong, Jining, Qufu, and so on, and have been rewarded with either national or ministerial prizes.

    Chief Conservation Officer at Paulson Institute

    Rose Niu is Chief Conservation Officer at the Paulson Institute, where she manages the planning and execution of initiatives to protect globally significant biodiversity and ecosystems and to promote sustainable management of natural resources, particularly in China. Before joining the Institute, Niu was Managing Director of China Programs at World Wildlife Fund-US, where she coordinated all China-related work for the organization. Prior to this position, she founded the China program at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and oversaw its strategies and operations. She also served as Chief Representative and Country Program Director in China and represented TNC in its partnership with the Government of China. Niu later served as TNC’s Deputy Managing Director of the North Asia Region in the U.S. In 2003, Businessweek named Niu one of the Stars of Asia (25 Leaders at the forefront of change.)

    Gracie Sun serves as Managing Director of the Green Finance Center and Senior Advisor of the Paulson Institute. The Center was launched in 2018 to focus on the use of market mechanisms to promote green development and support climate change. She has served as an Advisor to the Paulson Institute since its launch. In this capacity, she played a key role in the creation and launch of the U.S.-China Green Fund. She also has broad experience in the consulting field in China. She is a Founding Partner and the President for China of Basilinna LLC, a strategic business consulting firm headquartered in Washington DC. Prior to that, she also worked as a Senior Counsel at Ogilvy Public Relations China. She served as Executive Vice President of Sierra Asia, an Advisory firm based in Beijing, Shanghai and Washington DC.

    Executive Secretary General at Paulson Institiute

    Tina Ren is Communications Director, China, with responsibilities for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications and media engagement strategy for the Paulson Institute in China.

    Prior to joining the Paulson Institute, Tina was the Chief Representative and General Manager for Falcon and Associates, working on behalf of Dubai’s leadership to deepen Dubai-China relations. From 2011 to 2015, Tina was the Associate Director of Public Affairs at Ogilvy China, where she led strategic communications and the award-winning nation branding practice. From 2006 to 2011 Tina worked as Education Marketing Manager at the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy (British Council) to China.
