Since AmCham China last visited Hainan in 2019, the island province has been building China's largest Free Trade Port at full speed. This June, the National People's Congress passed the Hainan Free Trade Port Law, paving way for Hainan's further opening.

The Chamber is pleased to announce that AmCham China President Alan Beebe will lead another Business and Investment Outreach (B.I.O.) trip delegation to Hainan between October 25 to 27, 2021, to better understand the current state of the FTP development and explore potential business opportunities. Members are highly encouraged to sign up as early as possible, given that spots are limited.

Registrations will be granted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Although there is no strict seniority requirement, it is recommended for companies to send at least one senior-level representative (e.g., VP or above), which will be helpful for scheduling senior official engagements.

Highlights of the trip:

  • Meeting with Hainan provincial and municipal leaders on Hainan's business environment and the FTP development;
  • Policy briefing on the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan (FYP) in the region;
  • Site visits to learn how the latest FTP policies take place in major development zones in Hainan.

Important Notice:

  • The trip itinerary is subject to change, based on local officials' availability, weather, and other factors.
  • The deadline for registration is 12pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
  • Please note that payment should be made at least 2 working days before the trip to secure your spot. No refund will be given for any cancellation notice made after 2:00 PM on Monday, September 24, 2021. Delegates will be responsible for booking and paying for their own airline/train tickets and hotels, though the Chamber will provide flight and hotel recommendations.
